The Omaha-area Inclusive Methodist Churches are a network of churches who welcome and affirm people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to participate fully in the life and ministries of their congregations. Besides offering local welcome and affirmation, we are working for the full inclusion and acceptance of LGBTQIA people in our United Methodist denomination, the whole church, and all of society. We are congregations of different sizes, in different types of buildings, in different parts of the Omaha metropolitan area who all share one goal: to be safe and affirming places for people to encounter the love of God in worship, community, and service. We hope you will visit us soon!

Though we may not be able to gather physically, we can still be “Together for Christmas!”
In a year where being unable to gather with our relatives in person might make us feel hopeless, we can recapture the true meaning of the holidays by giving to something larger than ourselves. The Omaha Inclusive Churches (Bellevue Aldersgate United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church, Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, St. Luke United Methodist Church, Saint Paul Benson, and Urban Abbey) have joined together this year to make a big impact in supporting our friends at Together, a metro area non-profit whose mission is to end and prevent homelessness in our area.
Together provides services to people who are struggling financially, whether they are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
This includes just-in-time funding for critical needs like a car repair when that car is your only for a working parent to get to work, a bus ticket when a family has been stranded far from home, apartment application fees, grocery gift cards, and many more necessities that help families in need. By giving through this initiative to Together’s Flex Funding pool, we enable Together to respond quickly to the most pressing needs in our community.
We believe in the power of giving to Together together.
Our audacious goal is to raise $20,000 for Together through our collective work. Help us to meet and even surpass this big goal. Here are some examples of what your giving can buy:
- Car Repair Payments
- Deposits on new apartment and moving costs
- Utilities to keep families together, warm and toasty
- Greyhound bus tickets to help family get home
• Gas cards
• Application for Apartment
• Grocery gift card
• Job Training & supplies (uniforms, scrubs, specialized boots, etc.)
• Bus tickets
• Prescription costs
• Birth Certificates & State ID
• Winter boots & coats
• Sleeping bags
• Laundry card
• Fans for summer
• Water bottles
• Metro bus tickets
• Winter supplies (hand warmers, gloves, wool hats)
